Kyle Landon Dean Honorary Fund
Kyle was 27 and fiercely loyal to friends and family and enormously generous. His parents, older brother Kevin, girlfriend Jessica, dog Diesel and countless other loved ones were devastated by the loss.Though this young man left the world far too swiftly, he was an avid fan of motorcycle riding, having grown up riding with his brother and good friends.
According to Georgia Motorcycle Safety: "Motorcyclist fatalities increased in 2012 to 4,957, accounting for 15 percent of total fatalities for the (2014) year. This increase in motorcycle fatalities continues a tragic trend over the last 15 years, which only saw a one-year decline in 2009."
The many people Kyle touched with his huge heart is unquantifiable. As an organ donor, his death actually helped save or drastically improve the lives of those waiting for organs. But his family and friends hope his life can touch even more people with efforts to educate drivers and raise awareness about motorcycle safety.
With Kyle's girlfriend, parents and brother, we've decided on an organization to benefit from your generous gifts: RiderDown Foundation: Helping Riders Up. It is "a non-profit organization dedicated to helping responsible off road motorcyclists and ATV racers who have been injured while riding. Proceeds are used to provide assistance to the riders and their families when faced with medical expenses and related issues."
Our fundraiser will remain active for another week if you'd like to donate in Kyle's name. But there are other ways you can support or get involved with this organization with funding, volunteering or promotion.
Alternately, when you purchase motorcycle gear at http://www.motosport.com, you can make a donation that MotoSport.com will match dollar-for-dollar.
Thank you to everyone who donated to the Kyle Landon Dean Honorary Fund, shared our links or felt yourself changed by Kyle's life or death.
