Daxon's Milk Money

$6,270 of $5,000 goal

Juan Zamora   PASCO, WA
A fund to support breast milk supply for our son. Daxon was born 15 weeks early and only weighed 1lb 15oz. After spending 74 days in the NICU he is on oxygen & home now but is having digestive issue's. We have tried all types of formula on the market and the only thing that Daxon's tummy can tolerate is breast milk. Unfortunately mommy can't produce any. The hospital received breast milk from a Milk Bank but now that Daxon is discharged WIC, Washington State Dept of Social & Health Services & even Premera Blue Cross wont cover the cost even with a prescription. At $4.50 oz plus shipping we are struggling to keep up the 19oz a day Daxon needs. Please help us in keeping the supply coming. Thank you and God Bless You.

You can pasteurize donor milk at home or even buy a pasteurization machine to do it. http://www.eatsonfeetsresources.org/?page_id=257

You guys are so nice for wanting to donate milk. unfortunately because he was so premature his body is extremely sensitive that drs have recommended only using the milk from the bank because they test it, mix it with others and pasturize it. If you would like to donate milk to them it does help the supply stay up but it would not directly help Dax recieve milk.. here is the milk bank site. . http://www.nwmmb.org
