Rebuilding People, Rebuilding Lives

A May 21 electrical fire has not stopped the work of the East Texas Dream Center (ETDC), but the local non-profit is asking for support, to address short-term and www.easttexasdreamcenter.org long-term needs and help the facility reopen its doors to the displaced women and children, orphans, teens and pregnant mothers we house.

“We’re facing a setback for a comeback, our work still continues from a temporary address, as we continue to help people rebuild their lives, continue to provide food, items, serving, outreaches to so many.  We need your help and the support of businesses, churches, partners, volunteers, supporters, our community to ensure we’re able to meet the immediate needs of all who we serve and to help us get our doors reopened at the historic hospital facility where our ministry and programs are housed.”

The ETDC is also a Women’s & Children’s Life Recovery discipleship program that works at restoring their lives, relationships with children, family and their community. With many successful testimonies and life changes, the ETDC has become a national success story.

“Today, women, children, pregnant mothers, orphans, and teens are displaced and back on the streets because of the unfortunate events. We are working with the city, businesses, churches, partners and volunteers to meet the needs.
For individuals and organizations interested in supporting the East Texas Dream Center’s recovery and reopening efforts, the center is requesting the following donations or support:

Short term needs include:
Building repairs and supplies; legal expenses; temporary housing for the girls and children; gift cards; food; clothing; hygiene goods; toddler/baby items such as clothes, car seats, strollers, wipes, diapers, financial support. 

Long term needs include:
Continued building repairs; legal fees; construction materials and services; and facility remediation repairs; monthly financial support.
