5 k run for Help Our Homeless Wales

Last year i did some work with a small charity called Helping Our Homeless Wales. I was astounded by all the good they do for people on the streets.  It was such an emotional experience to see how grateful people were for even simply just a conversation, i saw grown men burst into tears, but i also saw the humanity of others willing to help any way they could. unfortunately i also saw people being cruel and even abusive towards people on the streets.

Helping Our Homeless Wales is a charity based in wales who help the homeless of Wales by offering support with rehousing as well as handing out supplies to people on the streets. This normally includes blankets, sleeping bags, clothing, toilet trees as well as warm food and drinks.

Even though i've moved away and am unable to continue being present and helping out, i have decided to do a 5k run on the 30th of June for the charity to support the good they do. Anyone who knows me will know i'm definitely not an athletic person, i have no doubt it will be hard but in no way will it be as hard as the struggle people on the streets have to go through every day.

Although the cold winter is over homelessness is still very much present and so is the scrutiny towards them, people are still having their tents ruined and even burnt out of hate and people are still hungry, alone and cold.

Even the smallest donation is more than appreciated by someone who has nothing.
