Justin Askari The Fighter (Leukemia)

Where do I start. First off this is not easy as a wife to hear such heartbreaking news about my husband. May 8th will forever change my life. My 29 year old husband was diagnosed with AML leukemia . He was having severe headaches for about a week or two, headaches turn into a crick in the neck and than swollen gums as well as having high fever to swollen lymph Nodes In the back of his neck. He lost his appetite and was sleeping a lot. Not Normal at all for my husband and of course as a Man being hard headed he didn’t want to go to the doctor. But finally it got bad enough to where he had to go. We went to the emergency room that Sunday and the doctor mentioned that his white blood cell count was pretty high like 63,000 and that them numbers are shown in leukemia patients but he wanted us to get a second opinion with our primary doctor. So that Monday we went right into his doctor office and they did some blood work, while my husband was still in pain. Well that Monday night thing got a bit worse he had not ate anything and was still running fever and just wasn’t feeling good. So i figured if he took a cold shower it would help. So i got him up and started helping him shower and stuff, well not to mention i grab the shampoo instead of the soap to bathe him ‍♀️ silly me. I was just trying to get him in that cold shower that he needed. Lol well the shower helped for a minute. But around 1:00 in morning we were headed back to the ER cause he was feeling worst. After sitting there for bout 13 hours another Dr. came in and said that he have leukemia and he needed to get to Houston to get treatment those exact words changed our life. We did like the doctor said and got him to MD Anderson and they started treatment. That kinda sums it up In a nut shell. So we are asking all our family & friends to please come together and help us out any way you can. Justin will be out of work for a very long time doing this process, between paying for medical expenses and picking up his load is going to be a bit hard. Even me taking care of our two baby girls and making sure they have all there needs to tend to will be a process. This won’t be an easy road for us but i truly believe the support Team that We have will make this possible to get him better and We will fight this thing called leukemia. Thank you so much We appreciate Y’all #wetakingoverleukemia #Justinstrong
