Nelson Residence Leilani Rebuild

Aloha all, my name is woodlin Keahi Nelson ,My family and I were in the path of the Kilauea volcano eruption on the Big island of Hawaii. We lived on the corner of Luana street in Leilani estates, Pahoa. The lava eruption in Leilani has covered our home and are now homeless. We would like to rebuild on the land that we still own even if it's covered in lava. After all the activie of the volcano dispates We would like to use the money to bulldoze the lava and build a tiny house on the land so we have a place to live. We would start by buying a trailer and build a tiny house on it. Building a tiny house on a trailer will give us the opportunity to move the house in the occurrence of any more lava activities for the future. Further more of the money being donated will help our family tremendously due to the loss of everything we owned in our house. On Thursday may 3rd we evacuated our home and only took photo albums, a few electronics, and  only sentimental belongings. Everything we have worked hard through out our lives to achieve.... my mother, my father, my brother and my belongings .. have been destroyed due to the lava and fire.  On Sunday may 5th we were told that some people may be able to go back to your homes to gather more belongings ...... 30 minutes before they let people in to do so, we got notice that our house was already on fire and had been covered up by lava. It was the hardest photos I had ever had to witness in my whole life. Seeing our family home in flames while we sat hopelessly knowing our home is now gone whiles others were able to still gather there belongings. In closing, my ohana (family) deeply appreciates every donation to assist my family in this time of help. We thank all that had helped us to achieve this goal and to help us get back on our feet.
