Trying to Hold On To My Home&horses

After 44 Years of Marriage to a wonderful guy I found myself a widow. Although this unfortunately happens to many of us my story is a little different in that my husband suffered from Multiple Serouis for 25 years. For the last 12 years only being able to move his head and he was in great pain. I cared for him at home with the help of my daughter and home health for 15 years while working and taking care of our dream. Before Richard had gotten so bad and had to quit working we bought an Arabian Stallion and started a small breeding program. Most of the mares being bred to our stallion were outside mares and therefore our stallion supported himself and the few offspring we had at home and the mare we bred him to at home. We sold 3 of the foals here at home to loving homes and had 2 of his offspring at home. He was shown and so was one of his daughters.
Richard continued to get worse and I had to quit my job as a Retail Store Manager to be at home with him.
Our stallion continued to support himself and his 2 daughters and "wife" at home with his breedings so we were ok on that front,but money started to get tight as our income was cut in more than half.
We did not keep our stallion at home as it was easier to show,train and breed him at a bigger professional stable that was able to ship his semen and show him to clients. He has offspring all over the U.S. and Canada. But now things were tight and although his breedings were paying for his and the girls expenses I needed to use some of that income too.
It got to the point with Richard that we could not care for him properly at home anymore and the last 5 years of his life he had to be in a nursing home which was so hard on him and us. I had been working a part time job but had to quit so I was available 24/7. So our income continued to be cut.
We decided to take our stallion out of the Boarding Stable and bring him home to save money. Although this was a good thing it was bad for breeding him as I did not have a trailer to take him to the Vets to get bred and I was not able to put the kind of time in to Marketing him anymore so as time went by we were paying more and more for the horses and our stallion was working less.
Richard got worse and worse and we spent weeks on end in the hospital until Aug of 2011 his horrible suffering stopped and I lost the love of my life.
With this loss also came more loss of income and harder times. I had pretty much retired my stallion from breeding by this time because of all this plus the fact that he was getting some arthertis in his hocks and traveling to the Vets to get bred was too hard on him.
So I have spent the last few years barely getting by taking care of the horses and my elderly mom who is wonderful and my rock. I am not able to work anymore because of some physical problems and the fact that I need to be available for my Mom.
Now I only have 14 months to go to pay off my house and I dont think I am going to make it. My stallion will be 25 years old in Feb. and I still have his 2 daughters that I have had since birth 12 and 10 years old. I love them very much and just want to hang on till the house is paid off and it will be easier to support them hopefully for the rest of their life. They know no one else and I am afraid of what would happen to them if I had to sell them. My stallion too. we have been togeather almost all his life since he was 4,even when he was being boarded I went to see him everyday.
Now my only car broke down and I dont have the money to fix it.
I live in a rural area and cannot get into town or anywhere without it. My elderly mom who lives alone does not drive and depends on me to do her shopping ect. She lives 1 mile from me and has no one else that would help her. She is very independent and does most things herself but she dont drive and there are things I help her with like cleaning,taking out the garbage, taking her shopping ect. Even though she is very independent I need to be able to get to her if she needs me.
I am 63 years old living on a fixed income and just cant come up with the money. My car needs a new water pump. It is a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am and will cost about $900. I have had this car since it was new and it is in good shape otherwise.
So the reason for this fundraiser would be for me to be able to pay off my house and get my car fixed and do a few repairs on the house. That would enable me to continue to care for my horses and finish the dream me and my husband started so many years ago.
Anything you can give would be so appreciated.
