Brain cancer treatment

Hello, my name is Nikita Paul, and I am 18 years old. In June 2018, I was diagnosed with a Brainstem Glioma, which is a brain tumor. My tumor unfortunately is inoperable due to being lodged in my brainstem. Doctors say they cannot operate, as it would result in me being in a vegetative state or death. The brainstem is responsible for the flow of messages between the brain and the rest of the body. It also controls basic but crucial functions such as breathing, swallowing, speaking, heart rate, and consciousness. Due to damages caused by my tumor, I have difficulty breathing at times, I have slurred speech… it's very hard for me to articulate my words. I have double vision from the pressure of the tumor, I’m numb on my complete left side and due to that, I have very poor mobility, and I currently use a wheel chair along with assistance. I've undergone radiation and chemotherapy. After a few months of radiation, I got news that the tumor did in fact shrink a little, which gave me a glimmer of hope. Recently however, everything took a turn for the worst - all my symptoms got worse and I ended up back in the hospital. This time they did an MRI that showed my tumor had gotten worse. My doctors believe it was an adverse reaction to the radiation. They would like to start a new drug on me. This drug could reverse the damages caused by the radiation. The government does not cover this drug and neither does insurance. We've been told that each treatment session will cost $5000, 1 session consists of 2 days a week, which will be done via intravenous. We are currently unaware of how many weeks of treatment I will need, but this is looking like my best hope.
