Whitney's Medical Expenses

On July 1, it started out like any other typical day for Whitney. She decided to take a walk at the park, followed by a nap. She woke up to a  medical nightmare...her legs were numb and was unable to even stand.  Whitney went to the ER and has been at Toledo Hospital since the incident, dependent on friends and family for care. We are left with no answer/explanation as to what caused the paralysis of her legs. Whitney has been through countless tests, lab draws, MRIs, EMG, lumbar puncture, x-rays and still no diagnosis. We will not give up trying to find an answer for Whitney. Various places have been contacted, we have sought out different teams to get another perspective on the situation. With her inability to work, medical and living expenses are piling up rapidly. We have no timetable for recovery length since everything is currently still unknown.  The goal is to transfer Whitney to an intensive inpatient rehab facility to gain strength back and to eventually be able to start moving her legs and be able to walk again. Whitney is a wonderful single mother to 4 year old, London Jo, who is her everything. London gives her motivation and the drive to try harder. Any little improvement for Whitney means she is that much closer to independence to be able to care for her daughter. We would like to be able to help ease the ever mounting stress by raising funds to help pay for her imminent mounting medical expenses. The Eastwood community has banded together in a big way and your help is truly needed and appreciated.
