At Risk Youth & Local Artists

Hey guys and thanks for checking my GoFo out! My names Morgan and I'm excited to bring an opportunity to you that will both enrich our local community and aim to facilitate at risk youth find creative outlets. Envision a setting where art is being professionally displayed. The lights shimmer down onto the canvas revealing bursts of bright color. All the hanging, magnificent focal points dazzling from corner to corner. Art is so intricate and when on display can be so enriching to our lives. Who made these beautiful art works you're envisioning all around? They all came from local artists! One piece is done by a well known, up and coming talented local artist. The piece next to it was done by a young man that needed somewhere to go after school until his mom got off work. Our daily FREE classes for minors allowed him to find his passion and talent in the art realm. Through programs like these our first objective is to provide a safe place for kids to come and productively use their time. The benefits that programs like these have on children's safety, development, and self esteem are ennumerable! Not only do liberal arts programs enrich our community, they also make it safer. Investments in programs like these are followed with lower crime rates and high property values. Secondly by giving local artists, particularily young ones, an oportunity to display their work for the public to see opens up their art to the market. Not just the local market either. The exposure is national and even international. (More on this below when we go over the finance section) This is a step many artists never take or even get. This can inspire great confidence and self worth in our youth. So it sounds magnificent, afterall who doesnt want to help kids, but can this place really work? The money you give will open our doors, but how do we sustain this idea? Whats going to pay the rent? Electric? Water, supplies insurance the list goes on and on. Allow me to say this is a great passion and dream of mine. I would not be here if i didnt absolutely, unequivocally know this will be a success. Heres why: Even if no one walks in the door and ever buys a piece of art we will pay our bills. Thanks to an innovative, veracious online marketing campaign focusing predominantly on social media platform's that are FREE (you know these as companies like facebook and instagram) and our partnerships with other galleries, venues, private art collectors, and interior designers internationally WE ARE ALREADY REALIZING SALES. You read that right. This is not a distant dream. This is a dream already being actualized. We have looked at spaces, are negoatiating leases, and have a firm grasp on what this is going to cost. We will also supplement our budget with other streams of income. We will be offering adult classes in the evening and on the weekends. We will take a small commission on any artworks sold either in our gallery or through our online platform. In the last decade the art market has been ripped open. Thanks largely to the internet! Collectors no longer soley seek out "the masters" (well known very expensive works from traditionally recognized artists). Many collectors are interested in beautiful pieces from artists that have never been internationally recognized! We will also offer our space for private rentals. It will make an extremely desirable location for corporate parties, small private parties, rehearsal dinners, and much more. Your donations are to open the doors but with all these side streams of revenue as we get established our income will quickly out grow our expenses. This will allow us to expand and increase our impact even further. We hope you will donate to help kick start this revolutionary idea no matter how small.
