Helmet Man Fund

Donation protected
My name is Cristal Garcia, I am the daughter of Albert Garcia. On Tuesday February 6, my father suddenly collapsed during his routine dialysis appointment, succumbing to a major heart attack. Despite numerous rounds of CPR, my father was unable to get a heart beat until arriving at the ER and was without sufficient oxygen for quite some time. He passed mercifully the next evening surrounded with love from family and friends.
My father was a very well loved member of our community here in Temple, Tx. Most knew him as the "Helmet Man"- the Temple Wildcats #1 fan. If you ever saw a loud, prideful man waving an old 1930's Wildcat helmet in the air and wildly ringing his cowbell; that was my father. He loved living here in Temple and being a part of the community. Now I'm reaching out to the city he loved so much and am asking for a little bit of love in return. My father was full of life and was known for his hilarious sense of humor, his kind giving heart and his ability to still keep joking and smiling despite enduring many hardships.
Our family would greatly appreciate any amount of contribution as this was all very sudden and unexpected. Every donation will be used toward providing dad with a proper memorial and cremation service. Thank you and God bless.
