On Sunday January 28, 2018 Kyle was taken to MUSC Children's Hospital after being sick. They discovered a golfball size tumor on the back, lower part of his brain. Since Sunday Kyle has had MRIs, an 8+ hour brain surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible, lots of drs in and out. It has been an overwhelming week for him and his family. The drs are pleased with his recovery so far. It was uncertain if he would be able to breath on his own, walk, talk etc after the surgery without long term rehabilitation. Kyle, being the strong little fighter he is, woke up from that long surgery breathing on his own, able to talk and move his arms and legs. Praise God! They are still waiting for the pathology report to give them more of a prognosis. It may take a few days. Regardless of the pathology results, Kyle will be undergoing Radiation and Chemotherapy in the future. It is a long, uncharted road ahead for them. As they figure out the plan and help Kyle get through this long journey they are so thankful for all of your prayers! Please continue to pray for Kyle and full healing.

I've been friends with Olga for the last 15 years and she is the most kind, generous, helpful person I have ever met! She's the first one to volunteer to help someone who needs it. She has a servants heart and I am proud to call her a best friend. ❤️ Coming together and helping her is the least I can do. I thought that getting some donations together to help ease any financial burden during this already difficult time, would be a good start. They will be at the hospital for a long while and traveling to also see Claire, go home for showers etc. They can use this money for gas, food and bills over the next few months as they stay by Kyle's side. The money will go directly to Olga and Blue to use as needed. I know as the amazingly helpful person she is, she isn't one that asks for help. She's used to being the doer. So I took it upon myself to get this started because I know that she would do the same for me. Finances are the last thing they need to worry about during this time. So if you're able to donate even just a dollar, that'd be great. If you can't donate, no worries! Please just continue to pray for Kyle, Claire, Olga and Blue.

I will post updates in here as I get them. If you "follow" this campaign it should email you updates as they're posted.

Kyle can't receive visitors at this time. He is in the ICU and they won't let us go up there. However if you are wanting to drop off something to help cheer him or Claire up, you can leave it with the front desk at MUSC Children's hospital. And tell them it is for Joseph (Kyle) Glover. He's in Unit 7C in room 777.

Good morning! Yesterday, Kyle had his follow up appt after Monday’s MRI. The results from the MRI look good. The tumor is stable and the swelling has gone down slightly, which is amazing considering he’s almost off of his steroids fully! He’s only on a very small dose as they’ve been weaning him off, so the fact that swelling has gone down slightly is amazing. Praise God! The dr told them they may even see a slight shrinkage to the tumor itself. The new treatments that he is receiving take a long time to really start working, so all of this is great news!

After a long day of being poked and prodded for blood work, they are finally able to come back home to Charleston. Please continue to pray for them as they travel back over the holiday. They have to drive from NY to SC because flying isn’t an option for them right now with Kyle’s condition. So please just pray for safe travels. Thank you for all the prayers and kind words the last few days, I know it means so much to them!

I’ll be sure to post any updates I receive. For now, more R&R at home is just what they need ❤️

Hey everyone! Olga wanted to request some prayers as they head back to NY for Kyle’s MRI and treatment. They enjoyed being home and having fresh, country air, and lots of green grass to see at home. Compared to the city sidewalks and buildings in NYC they had been enjoying for a couple months. Kyle got to ride on their gator with his dad for the first time in months The smile on his face in the photo is EVERYTHING! I know he enjoyed being home with his dog and just being a kid.

Here’s what Olga wanted to say:
“It was so good to be home after being away for so long. Time flew by and we are driving back to New York now. Kyle’s first MRI after starting his new medicine is tomorrow morning. Please pray for stable
or shrinking MRI results. Safe travels and protection. Pray for our faith to be bigger then our fears.
Kyle seems to have more energy and in good spirit. Praise God for that!
Praise God for all of the people he put in our life to help, guide and assist us on this journey.
We are so thankful for all the prayers and positive thoughts, your sweet cards and words of encouragement, Thank you! ❤️ Olga“

I will keep everyone posted on the MRI results and how their time in NYC goes. As she said, let’s just keep praying that their faith will be bigger than their fears!

The Glover’s have made it back to Charleston! For a few days at least. They’re happy to be home. They’ve been gone pretty much the entire time since their trip to Orlando, so they hopefully can relax and enjoy some quiet family time before heading back up to NY. Kyle is doing well, he’s very tired which is expected with the medicine he’s on. They are working on unpacking and getting settled at home. Then they’ll head back to NY June 30th and Kyle will have the MRI on July 2nd up there. Praying for some positive news from his MRI. I will keep everyone posted on the results when they get them. In the meantime, Please continue to pray for them as they’re settling back at home and hopefully able to rest some. ❤️

Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve updated on Kyle, so I wanted to do a quick update. They have been in New York for the last month. He’s been receiving treatment with the study up there, and there has not been any new updates so far. No good news to report but also nothing bad. Thankful for that! They have lowered his doses of steroids, but he is still on them. He still continues to do occupational therapy and physical therapy up in NY. He has good days where he wants to go out and do something (they recently went and saw the new Star Wars movie in a theater) and hard days where he stays in bed all day, exhausted.
They’ve met some friends there at the Ronald McDonald house which is good for Claire (she’s there with them too ). They are all ready to come home for a bit and see their puppy, Peaches, and just be in there own home.
They’re hoping to get to go home for a short stay sometime soon! They will, of course, go back to NY to continue the treatments, but a visit home will be nice for them. Kyle will have an MRI sometime around the first week of July. They’re not certain if it will be here in Charleston or up in NY. But that MRI will give them more info. Praying for some good news!

Olga and Blue want to thank everyone for the cards sent to Kyle!! It means so much to them to know that so many people are praying and taking time to send cards. Continue praying for this sweet family as they go through the most difficult time. I know they’re so exhausted and missing the comfort of their own home, family, friends, as they are in New York fighting for a way to help Kyle get better. Pray for Kyle! For strength and for courage and for healing ❤️

I will update everyone as I get more info on the next steps for them and word on his MRI!
