Let’s Help Joshua Smith And Family

Hello my name is Renee Greene and I work at PWMS & Portland Gateview Elementary. I received a message Sunday morning 1/14/17 from Crystal (Joshua Smith and Tristan Perdue’s mom) that their family had been in a head on collision due to ice. Joshua (6th grade student at PWMS) was life flighted to Vanderbilt Children’s hospital and little brother Tristan (Portland Gateview Elementary student) taken by ambulance. Tristan, Mom, and Dad are all ok now and have been released from the hospital however Joshua Smith is still in ICU. He has a fracture in his skull causing swelling in his brain along with several face fractures. As of 1/18/17 Joshua is still in ICU and the doctors are focusing on getting the swelling of the brain to come down. Mom and Dad now have a room at The Ronald McDonald house which is such a blessing to have a place to lay your head and be so close to your baby. People have asked what can we do? Money donated here will go towards helping with food, gas, and bills that they may need help with. That is one less worry this family can have. Joshua has a long road ahead. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.
