2016 has been pretty freaking terrible. For a lot of reasons. One of the worst reasons is that the work to remove conversion therapy abuse of LGBT youth is on the verge of moving many steps backward. And that's why I'm starting this campaign.

GOAL: To make 2017 the year that every single state in the country submits a bill to protect LGBT youth from conversion therapy. 

You may have heard that Vice President-elect Pence supports conversion therapy. He does. You may have heard that Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos supports conversion therapy. She does. You might have heard that... oh, you get the picture. Needless to say the battle to protect LGBT youth from conversion therapy just got a LOT harder. 

But you can help. For December, rather than a holiday gift I am imploring you to join me as I start a national campaign to submit a conversion therapy bill in EVERY state. Yes, all 50. 

We are aiming for $5,000. That's $100 per state. 

These funds will be used to: A website to coordinate the efforts, a video capturing the effort to protect LGBT youth in every state, printed materials for every state to start the legislation, a travel budget to visit states as needed to submit each bill, and a mental health budget to support survivors who help us start this work.

This won't be easy. I will probably lose a lot of sleep over this. BUT I guarantee that the reward of seeing every single state submit a bill to end conversion therapy will be the greatest day of my life. THANK YOU for joining me.
