What is 501concepts' goal?

For four years now 501concepts has been providing free photography services to 501c non-profit organizations in the greater Nashville, TN area.  I typically donate 250-400 hours of my time every year shooting events at no cost to the charities.  My long term goal is to be able to continue to expand the number of organizations I can offer this high level of photography services to, and potentially expand the number of involved photographers donating their time as well as regional areas i'm active in.

I'm currently providing services for the following non-profit organizations.

A Soldier's Child Foundation
Project14 - David Price Foundation
Saddle Up
Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee
Deer Run Camp & Retreat
American Heart/Stroke Association
C.A.P.E.  - Challenged Athletes Playing Equally
Nashville PITTIE
Live For Tay Foundation
Musicians on Call
Songs for Sound
Nashville Children's Theater
American Cancer Society
Bruce Gilley Foundation

100% of donations to 501concepts will be put toward the ongoing maintenance / upgrades of photography equipment,  and travel costs involved with the events I donate my time shooting.   I've been self-funding this project for 4 years now and donations would help expand the services I offer beyond the current scope that I can personally maintain.

Photos I produce provides images the charities can use going forward to market and promote their events and services.  The quality of these images can have a direct positive effect on donations as well as interest from volunteers.   Quality marketing images convey the message of an organized and resourceful charity.

Quality images speak volumes and our goal is to provide creative dynamic images that inspire people to donate or become involved as volunteers.

Goals:
• continue and expand the quality of services provided for the past 2 years.
• expand to multiple photographers and establish mentorship program to educate individuals interested in also volunteering to photograph charity events.
• possible long term expansion of the 501concepts idea into other markets through partnerships with photographers in additional regions.

To establish myself and history...
my name is Rick Stufflebean and am a 20+ year design and imaging veteran.   I've produced artwork for over 200+ independent movies and design work for national corporations, professional sport franchises, etc.   Photography was my initial career plan, but as life goes I fell into a career as a designer and that became my primary profession.   My career is what allows me to make initial investments in quality equipment needed to provide the quality images I do for non-profits.

Donations to help cover ongoing  maintenance / upgrading equipment and travel expenses is where I can use your help.

220 = number of hours donated in 2016 providing photography services to non-profit charities. Which is great considering I had to take 2 months off for recovery from a surgery.
Here's looking forward to another vibrant and productive year in 2017 helping non-profit charities better market their important messages!

Time for a 2016 update!
This year 501concepts has (thus far) donated 179 hours of time providing photography services for non-profit organizations.
Supported non-profits include: A Soldier's Child Foundation, Project 14 - David Price Foundation, Nashville Children's Theatre, Saddle Up, American Heart & Stroke Assocation, Deer Run Camp & Retreat, Nashville Pittie, Live 4 Tay Foundation, Bruce Gilley Foundation

Donations have raised $250 to be put toward providing photography services to non-profit organizations. They then use the photos to market and promote withwhich then helps them raise money to help their worthy cause.

Which is the essence of what 501concepts does. It helps non-profits to raise more money.

Please consider helping me to continue helping non-profits help others.

I have known Rick and his wife for many years through working with them both. Rick is a fantastic guy and photographer. I applaud him for his goal of his photography. It makes me proud to know him and to see what he is doing in his life to make a better world.

What Rick does with his beautiful photography is VITAL to Nashville PITTIE’s mission: “We believe no dog should suffer the injustice of discrimination, neglect, or abuse”. To that end, the goal of Nashville PITTIE is to restore the Pit bull’s “positive image” by: dispelling myths surrounding the breeds called “Pit bulls” through education, promoting responsible ownership, and promoting spay/neuter programs. In doing so, Nashville PITTIE will bring to light the true character of the Pit bull, and the invaluable contributions they make as family Pets, as well as service animals, as they have for generations Rick has an amazingly innate talent that enables him to capture beautiful photos that seems to magically reveal the authenticity of the moment. Whether it be pure joy of a dog reveling in the new possibilities; deep compassion shining from the soul of a volunteer; or the “true character of the Pit bull”; Rick is able to capture it for all to see. And again, what he does is VITAL to what we do. I have deep gratitude for the many projects Rick has already so generously helped us with! I encourage those that can to contribute, so that he may continue to contribute to causes like ours, and so many others.
