                     5 Marathons for Cancer Research Fundraiser



In memory of my amazing father, Gearóid , who heartbreakingly passed away on September 7th 2018 at only 63 years of age I am hoping to raise money for the wonderful services given to cancer patients and their loved ones by 'Marymount Hospice' and also to 'Pancreatic Cancer Research Ireland' as my own father sadly passed away from this cancer.

I am hoping to run 4 marathons in 2019 (1 in each province of Ireland) and a 5th marathon abroad at some stage in 2020 to raise money.  The planned marathons are Connemara (Connaught), Cork (Munster), Dublin (Leinster) and the Ulster location is still to be decided as of present as well as next year's marathon abroad.

I am asking everyone who receives this to take 5 minutes of their time to donate €5 (no more) and to send this text / message onto 5 people from your list of contacts who you feel will donate and keep the loop going.

Everyone knows a loved one who has been affected or is currently being affected by cancer and the ways in which it can change people's lives in the blink of an eye. Your donation and support will help these two amazing charities and will go towards fighting this awful disease.
