The Toughest Guy I Ever Knew and Other Short Stories (Book#1)

“A collection of thought-provoking stories on life, philosophy and humor, sprinkled with bits of advice on business and life.”

Steve Mayer, CEO of SD Mayer & author of the book, loves to tell stories about lessons that he learnt over the last 60 years. Steve decided to put the lessons in a book of short stories hoping that it will help someone in navigating the inherent chaos that is life. As Steve once stated, “We feel that providing this book to clients right off the bat helps them get a unique perspective about how we run the business and our philosophy on working with clients during their engagements.”

The title of the book is to honor Steve Mayer’s father, Dave Mayer. In simple words Dave was a great guy, a tremendous father & husband and incredibly tough. Steve watched his father suffer through 28 years of fighting different type of cancer-never complained and always willing to help others. This book is dedicated to Steve’s nephew, Charlie Mayer, who was tragically killed in an accident when he was 13 years old.

Adulting For Personal Finance (Book#3)

After finishing the financial planning book for adults, Steve Mayer began thinking about all of the basic “personal finance” topics that young adults should know as they enter adulthood, but aren’t being taught in school. The topics included in the book are the ones that Steve’s parents taught him as a teenager moving into adulthood and something a lot of kids are lacking today.

Each chapter is broken down into a few components: Why Do I Need To Know This?, How Do I Get Started?, Quick Tips, Personal Finance Stories and Exercises. The idea is to give you a few ways to digest the information, provide some quick tips to get you started, describe a real-life scenario putting the topic into action and then giving you an exercise where you can input your own information to support the topic. The book will be launched by the summer of 2019.
