Hi,
My name is Di, I was born on Thanksgiving day 1967. I'm a wife of over 30 years, a mother of 2 really great grown women and a Grandmother to one stinkin' smart girl !
There is nothing more that I love than giving and do-ing for others. That's why I've decided to go against the norm and instead of throwing a big hoorah I'm turning 50 party... (I was never one to celebrate myself) I wanted to try something else.
I've decided to spend my special milestone 50th YEAR... giving back ! Raising funds, helping others, volunteering my services and time locally and worldwide to organizations, people, animals and this earth, bigger than I ever have before !
I was going to start on my actual birthday... but decided it might be best to get a head start... so I have begun re-searching and joining volunteer sites, setting up campaigns online, preparing for success !
I am hoping and planning to raise funds for more than just 1 charity of choice, and in LIEU of a PARTY, or asking for gifts I will match a % of the money that I raise, I am letting donors choose their charity of choice. I will donate to the chairities in their name and send them proof !
This is all just beginning...
