Carr Fire Relief for Family

On July 26th, the Carr Fire raged through the Community of Keswick and destroyed nearly all in it's path. My sweet sister Becca and her family were among those who lost their homes and all their belongings.
First, I'd like to tell you about my sister. Becca has an innate gift to see a need and fill it. She can outwork everyone I know. There is no battle too big or small, no need too large for her to know she could offer a hand. When I operated a pizza truck and then restaurant, Becca was THE star employee. You know the one: will always show up, always work longer, always do the job no one else wanted to.
She gets these qualities from her grandmother who Becca now lovingly cares for (and who also lived in the home that was destroyed, along with Becca's mom). Her grandmother was a volunteer firefighter for over 20 years in the Keswick community. Becca tells me she was the first female firefighter to receive the honor of firefighter of the year in Shasta County.
The doors to their little home were always open. There was a meal, a couch, a shower for any who needed it. Becca has lovingly cared for her nephews and recently had her own little nugget, Lance. These 2 deserve the world and I wish I could give it to them.
The fire came quickly and without much time to grab anything but the clothes on your back. Becca has a job at Costco but no car or place to call hers. All of their worldly possessions are gone. We are thankful for their lives and optimistic that the kindness and effort they have extended to others will come back to them tenfold in this time of need.
