Like all of us that read this heartbreaking story on the Dallas Morning News, I wanted to do something to help Lauren. Money seems so meaningless next to what she had to live through but like so many, I would like to do all I can to make her life a little easier.

I am a Dallas attorney and a DMN reader that was moved by this story. I have lived in Dallas 6 years (previously from WI) and I was not aware of these tragic events when they occurred. As a new mom, it is unthinkable to me that a precious little girl could be treated this way. I have been in touch with the author of the DMN article, Scott Farwell, and he will help me get in touch with Lauren or get the money to Lauren when the fundraising is finished. From my understanding of this site, the entity that holds the money can either send Lauren a check or deposit the funds directly in her bank account. I will see what is more convenient for Lauren.

I hope that working together we can influence Lauren's life in a positive way.
