HELP FELLOW LYFTER AMIR WITH CAR DEBT

Hello Fellow Lyfters,
First of all, although it says this page was created by Amir, it is I, Suzanne Silva, writing this, on his behalf. I asked him to create the page so that he can enter his financials, therefore all donations go straight to him.
As most of you know, from the numerous threads on the Lyft Lounge, on the evening of July 20, 2013, while Lyfting, Amir was involved in a terrible car accident that left his car totaled, and sent the other car crashing into a store. Thankfully, Amir was not injured, but one of his 3 passengers, as well as the driver of the other car were taken to the hospital.
This is a worst-case scenario. Amir's personal automobile policy did not cover the liability he paid for, as he was honest and informed them that he was Lyfting (he did not want to commit insurance fraud by omitting this information). They (Geico) also promptly dropped his coverage.
Unfortunately, Amir did not purchase collision insurance, but was very grateful that Lyft's liability insurance did completely cover the other driver's damages as well as all the medical expenses for the passengers. However, Amir was left with $16,000 still owed on a useless totaled car, and had to incur a new car loan of $9,000. To add to this financial disaster, he could no longer Lyft as the accident was found to be his fault, thus leaving him in further financial distress.
I hope that each and every one of us will do what we can to help one of our own out. One of the reasons I love Lyft, and signed up to Lyft, is for the sense of community we stand for. This is who we are. This is what we do. We help each other out. Amir needs our help now. So please, I ask you to donate what you can. Every dollar helps, and no amount is too small.
Please Lyft safe and look out for one another always. I thank you, and I KNOW Amir will be greatly appreciative for any help that you can give.

P.S. The amount that I am trying to raise is what Amir currently still owes on the totaled car. As you can imagine,he is struggling trying to make monthly payments on TWO cars. So, our goal is to raise enough money to pay off the wrecked one. I believe we can do it. :)
