Being self-employed has a slightly risky element to it especially when either you or a loved one falls ill.
The Moore family counts on the money that Howard earns creating music around Toronto and on cruise ships for months away at a time.
Nicole Moore has been diagnosed with stage 3 tongue cancer. This cancer has spread to her lymph nodes and requires extensive surgery to her mouth and neck. Her first surgery is Thursday, March 7th and Nicole will be hospitalized for 2 weeks.
From there she'll require months of treatment and therapy including radiation, reconstruction, and speech therapy. This means not only will there be no income from her job but Howard has had to cancel his cruise contracts to take care of her and their beautiful 9-year-old daughter Ella.
Nicole is also a terrific step-mom to Howard's three boys; Miles, Clive, and Roland and as you can imagine this is a hard knock for the whole family.
A few days after Nicole's surgery, Howard was hospitalized with a heart condition. A blood clot is lodged in his aorta and he will now be unable to work for at least 3 months while they try to repair this. This makes this request even more urgent.
They will now need these donated funds and more to cover the regular bills.
If there is any amount that you can donate, please know that it will all go toward helping this amazing family stay focused on taking care of each other during all the challenges that they are facing.
