Help Kathy Soulek: Homeless & Sick

Kathy Soulek, a homeless 68 year-old Pasadena woman, who has been sleeping on the Loma Alta Park for the last several months. Kathy is suffering from either dementia or Alzheimer's in addition to other health issues. She served as a Pasadena realtor for many years, and her story is very sad.

Since it has been very cold, I asked her to come and sleep during the nights in my little studio which I share with my 18 year-old daughter, and my two youngest kids on every Friday to Sunday night - and now with Kathy. It was only going be nights, since I drive every day by the park on my way to work and when I come home after work. I have tried to locate her two sons but they seem not to want to be  part of her life. Kathy doesn't want to go back to the park not even during the day. She says she likes her new family, and it breaks my heart and I don't have the heart to throw her out in to the streets again. She has already suffered way too much in my opinion. We need to find a a bigger space, so she could have her own little room and so I could be able to help her get treated. No one deserves to die cold and alone in a street or a park and I know I can not help everyone out there. but please help me help Kathy Soulek.
