Meet the Benicia youth football and cheer teams. They have worked so hard all year long, and now have the opportunity to compete in a United States tournament in Canton Ohio. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The boys went undefeated all season long. Hard work is the code they live by. Please help make these boys dreams come true.

My name is Josiah Guevara. I’m a Defensive End for the Benicia Panthers 14U Varsity Football Team. Being in the Hall of Fame’s “National Youth Football Championship,” is something very big for any kid my age. This tournament is really important to me personally because this is my last year as a panther. I live in Fairfield and I’m going to Rodrigues High School next year and this will be my last time playing with a handful of players who I’ve grown up playing with. Going to Ohio will be my most memorable experiences in my Football life because this isn’t something I’d just get to do everyday. This season was the best season I’ve ever had because I was able to finally beat teams I’ve never beaten before. This year has taken me out of my comfort zone and introduced me to positions I wasn’t really accustomed too. Going to Ohio is something I’ll be able to say proudly in my future. Being able to say “In 2017, my team was the best team in Northern California, and the Bay Area’s Regional Champions.” This is something I can be very proud of to tell my kids and the people I encounter and I’d be able to say “Yea I was a part of that.” My brothers and I worked really hard in order to get this far in our season. We fought, battled, won, lost, worked, and bled just to get to where we are now. Being a part of the National Youth Football Championship, from now on will be the first thing that pops into my head when I hear or think of football. My brothers and I worked so hard to get here and we’re all very thankful to be able to participate in this tournament. I love my brothers all so much, and we couldn’t have made it here without each other. My team and I were taught to come into a game confident, not arrogant. In this tournament, there will be lots of competitive and challenging teams to face, but we give 150 percent and do our best to come home to the bay with a victory and a giant trophy.

My name is Simeon Harris, #50, and wide receiver for the Benicia Panthers 14 U. Participating in the Hall of Fame Youth Football Championship means so much to me because this is a big opportunity for my teammates and I. We have worked so hard all season long to get into this position.

You see I was new to the team. I came after the season had already started. The coaches & players welcomed me with open arms. I love my team, my coaches, and the parents. It makes me feel like I’ve been there from the beginning. A trip like this allows us to fellowship together and develop friendships that last on and off the field.

I feel such a sense of pride to go to school and say my team is the best in Northern California. Then for us to go to the Hall of Fame with the chance of coming back with the National Title makes us all so hungry for it. So many kids don’t get that type of opportunity. I’m just really grateful and thankful for this opportunity to go to Canton, Ohio.

gf.me/u/fd94wq This team is from Benicia and half of the boys came from Vallejo. Vallejo jaguars fell apart 3 days before their first game due to funding. The boys then came to Benicia who welcomed them with open arms (they only had 12 boys so it was a blessing). They went undefeated in the season and now are representing the bay in Canton, Ohio after willing the Northern California championship. They need your help getting there. If you can donate or share this it would mean the world to these 17 boys. @cjandersonrb9 @sobxrbeofficial @cc_sabathia @e40 @neffthepharaoh @thizznationbiz @106kmel @wild949 @warriors @raiders @ktvu2 @giants @athletics @vallejo_firefighters @marshawnlynch__ @beniciaherald @beniciapd
