World cancer day is an international day marked on 4th February to raise awareness of all cancers and to encourage its prevention, detection and treatment.
Reproductive Cancers Awareness Team Ghana (ReProCan Ghana) is a registered NGO in Ghana that provides free health education and screening on cancers that affects the reproductive system (organs) for both males and females such as Penile cancer, Prostate cancer, Cervical cancer, Breast cancer, Ovarian cancer and other non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, stroke, heart failure and many more. They also do free malaria screening at all our programs in churches, market places, communities and schools.
In Ghana, cancers are killing because of the low public awareness ,the cost of screening and the distance to health care centres.
People are dying of cancers because they can't afford the cost of screening and treatment.
EVENT PROGRAM
Dates: Saturday 3rd February 2018 and Sunday 4th February 2018
Activities;
Saturday 3rd February 2018.
Time: 8am-4pm.
Float from Kwame Nkrumah Circle (Old Obra Spot) through to 37, Achimota, Keneshie, Accra Makola, Tema station back to circle
Sunday 4th February 2018
Time: 9am-4pm. Free Medical Screening.
Breast Examination (CBE)
Cervical Cancer Screening (VIA, EVA,CARE HPV ETC)
Malaria Test (RDT)
Sugar Test
Prostate Cancer Screening (PSA)
