Help Ariel Make A Movie!

Meet Ariel Driskell Hello all! I am an author, writer, and independent filmmaker based in Atlanta. Storytelling has been a passion and talent of mine since childhood. Creating worlds, filled with characters and places that feel familiar to the reader and audience is my specialty. I’m currently raising funds for two projects, near and dear to my heart.
I’ve been selected to attend the Reel Sisters and BRIC screenwriting lab in New York City during August 9th-11th, where I’ll be working with fellow writers, lead by filmmaker and master class teacher, Valerie Woods. This is an extremely exciting opportunity, as Valerie currently holds the position as a co-producer/writer for the hit show, Queen Sugar, which airs on the Oprah Winfrey Network. I’ll be working on completing my first feature film, Chasing Rainbows, which follows the life of Cassidy Jane. When Cassidy Jane returns home and is asked to join the family business, she finds herself at a crossroads. Torn between the father that raised her and the mother that abandoned her, Cassidy Jane must decide the price she's willing to pay to find true happiness. The message that I want the audience to take away from this riveting film, is to always chase your rainbow, and to pursue whatever it is that sets your soul on fire.
The second project I’m raising funds for is my pilot, Brotherly Love. This hilarious sitcom follows Jay, a once loved radio personality, faces his worst nightmare when his rival and estranged stepbrother becomes his new boss. The two men must work together to save the failing radio station. My goal is to finish editing this project, which I actually filmed in December of 2018, and to enter it into film festivals in hopes of garnering attention from investors, in hopes to produce more episodes of Brotherly Love and have it picked up by a network or streaming service.
Being an independent artist doesn’t come without challenges but knowing that I’m operating in my purpose, and changing the world one story at a time, keeps me going. I thank you for stopping by and please know that all donations matter, and that no amount is too small.
