BMS Productions Presents “Mute”

BMS Productions is an up and coming group of three filmmakers by the names of Johnathan S. Bailey, Jelani McCray, and Tyrique Scott-Woods.Together they’ve released two productions, a documentary titled “One-Fifth of a Three-Fifth History” ( link: https://youtu.be/tZelS98Iva0 ), and a short film titled “Earth” that saw a theatrical debut as part of the 2017 48 Hour Film Project: Atlanta ( link: https://youtu.be/ianFVoUbWCc ). The next project, a short film adaptation of Stephen King’s short story titled “Mute”, is set to go into principal photography starting in December and will have a 5 day shoot starting December 18, 2017 and will go through December 22, 2017. The production is being produced as part of King’s Dollar Babies program. But in order for the production to come to fruition, BMS is going to need your help.But first, a little about “Mute”. “Mute” is a short story first published in the December 2007 issue of Playboy and then later collected in King’s short story collection titled “Just After Sunset”. The story is about Monette, a traveling book salesman, whose marriage has ended in shambles. Believing he has sinned in some way or another he brings himself to a confessional in a Catholic Church, a place he hasn’t been to since he was a kid. He details the story of his failed marriage and how he ranted about it all to a deaf/Mute hitchhiker he picked up alongside the road one rainy night. The end of the story unfolds with an even further theme of deception, or is it a gift from God? In order for this picture to come to fruition, BMS Productions is going to need $2,500.
