Ms. Wheelchair VA going for Nationals

I was crowned as this years Ms. Wheelchair VA 2014 titleholder. I competed in Fishersville VA at the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center on March15, 2014.  I am honored to represent the state of Virginia over the next year promoting my platform of Life Beyond Limits to many individuals and organizations across the state. 

I am very excited about the journey ahead and could not have gotten to this point without the support and encouragement from my family, friends, and community.  You all have motivated me in ways you cannot imagine and I want nothing more than to represent Virginia to the best of my ability over this next year.  As many of you may know I will spend this year attending events across the state, speaking to Virginians about what it means to be a person living with a disability, highlighting the abilities of all that are a part of the disability community, and bringing awareness to the needs of persons with disabilities so all can take part in experiencing life beyond the barriers that we are faced with. 

Family and friends I am in need of your continued support to attend a national competition (Ms. Wheelchair America) that will be held in Long Beach CA Aug. 2014.  I will have the experience of a lifetime to represent the state of Virginia among 30 other states that will be present at this event.  Donations that are made will help to cover traveling expenses, materials, and meals during the time I will be at competition.  I thank you again in advance for your support during this time.
