Surgery Fund

Hello, I ask that you read my story with an open heart and with empathy till the end. My name is Bobby, I am 36 years old, live In Cali in the IE area. I am asking for help with this fundraiser due to the cost of copayments (for surgery), travel, stay, and supplies. I have been blessed enough to have the opportunity to have My surgery (which I never though was going to be possible in this life time due to insurance) and the costs will end in about $8,000 so Any little thing helps even just spreading the word. This will be the only time I can actually have this surgery due to timing and insurance. This is a great opportunity to change my life for the better. A little about me and why I am in this financial bind. For 12 years I had a great career and a pretty decent life. January of 2015 I ended up in the hospital with cancer in my abdomen and needed emergency surgery. My surgery went great they were able to get all the cancer and then my supposed to be 3 day hospital stay turned into months... the hospital gave me an infection in my incision site and it ate my flesh, tissue and a deep hole in my stomach. They had no cure for me and told me they didn’t know if I was ever going to leave that hospital. I prepared to die there. Then In June 2016 my body healed it’s self and my infection finally went away and I was able to have wound surgery to close the 4 inch deep hole and I left the hospital with a 27 inch scar around my stomach. I feel great and now have a second chance at my life. Unfortunately because I was sick for a year I lost my job. And it’s been a struggle every day. I have a 11 year old Son who I love and adore, he was a big part of why I fought every day in that hospital bed. I want to be happy and feel comfortable, healthy and this is why I need to finally have this surgery. I believe that this final step in my life will give me the satisfaction of having a normal and happy life and the confidence to be me again and bring me the happiness that I deserve to have in this life. Please consider helping me in this surgery and I promise to be the best I can and be genuine and caring and always do the right thing. The struggle and triumphs to get to where I am today has been a long journey but I am ready to close this chapter in my life and have a normal life that I have always wanted and dreamed of, you have no idea the burdens I face every day, and how in one day my whole world came crumbling down, Honestly any penny counts and even simply sharing my story contributes to my cause. This is the light at the end of my long dark tunnel and the first step at the rest of my life. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
