Help fix Alfie's Broken Heart

Alfie is a wonderful 6 year old Springer Spaniel and he urgently needs to have a pacemaker fitted or he will die. Please help him if you can.
I got Alfie as a bedraggled rescue puppy and he's grown up into an unbelievably clever, friendly and hilarious dog - everyone who meets him loves him and wants to take him home!
He has suffered with Addison's disease for 3 years, but we finally managed to get it under control with daily steroids and things were starting to look brighter for Alf.
The bad news is he's now just been diagnosed with a very serious heart problem called 3rd degree heart block and he needs some help really quickly! He is not allowed to run any more, or even get excited (though he still tries!) and his heart rate is just 40 bpm which means he is very tired a lot of the time. The vets say his heart could fail at any moment and he has a maximum of a few months to live, if he's lucky.
Alfie's only hope is to have a pacemaker fitted - this will bring him back to full health very quickly and add many years to his life. The pacemaker will cost £4,500 and I'm gutted I just don't have enough money to do this for him.
