Food/Medicine for Libyan Family
Donation protected
This Libyan Ph.D. student in Kalamazoo was sent to Western Michigan University on a scholarship from the Libyan government which, since war broke out, hasn't sent her scholarship money now for 7 months.
She is living with her husband and three children, one of which has special needs. His medication is expensive and there is no funding to cover it. Only one person in the family can work and they are surviving on $80 per week of food stamps, which is not enough.
I met her because she's always helping other refugees get settled and have enough to eat and make it in their new homes. I'm shocked to find out that her own family is in need, and the kids need clothes for the winter.
She's extremely stressed, trying to balance everything going on, and provide for her family, and is more than deserving of help herself. Anything you can donate would be of help to get this family ready for winter. Thank you!
