I desire to become a yoga instructor / therapist so that I may bring healing to people from all over the world. The aspect of yoga that I respect and enjoy the most is the acknowledgement that each and every one of us is at a different stage of life and learning however, by focusing on our physical form we can begin to change ourselves from the inside out. 

I have recently come across a yoga course offered nearby however I do not have the funds to pay for the course. My dream is to learn how to teach yoga in a way that inspires individuals from all areas of life to learn how to love themselves and the body they are born with, regardless of perceived limitations,  EVERY BODY is pure magic and when we truly believe this and live this truth, our lives are transformed. We begin to focus on how to be happy in this moment, in this body, in this situation - while simultaneously striving for more with compassion, acceptance and forgiveness for ourselves and others. 

A key aspect I hope to teach / initiate change within is our public system - such as schools and workplaces. I have, since completing school, read various articles that have recorded and published the positive benefits that yoga and meditation have had on so many lives! I would absolutely love to share the power of yoga with as many people as possible, all around the world. I believe it is a powerful healing modality as it focuses on how we may look after ourselves with compassion, understanding and forgiveness - all of which make a difference in how we in turn relate to others.

During my teaching of yoga I would like to focus an element on the integration of yoga/stretching/meditation into our public and private education system so that children of all ages have access to yoga as they are navigating school. I finished school a couple years ago and I remember going to my first yoga class and wishing that it was available and encouraged while I was at school, navigating the various challenges of adolescence and the stress of performing in hopes that I would get a high mark so that I may be seen as 'successful' by family or friends or even myself. I realised that this way of thinking, this way of focusing on my marks to the point of stressing myself out if I got less than my desired mark on an assignment or exam was not constructive. I dream of one day implementing yoga into education so that we may learn how to not only cope with stress but undeniably reduce our learned patterns and behaviours associated with stress and the detrimental effects this can have on our personal, interpersonal and professional life. 

Funds donated will be used for the cost of the course and required workbooks.
