I set this up for my brother, John, after I learned his family lost everything in the fire. This photo is what is left of their home. They were quick to point out that they were “thankful lives were spared and are thriving with the complete peace that comes from God” despite this difficult situation. They recognize the rebuilding that will have to take place with the small business they run. Please see his comments below regarding their Malibu Veterinary Clinic and their community. My family, friends & animals are unharmed, and I am beyond words thankful for this.
My main focus is to find my family a place to stay & open our veterinary clinic to people & animals in need. The clinic is unharmed but there is no electricity, phone lines, internet or delivery of meds/supplies in the area. The clinic is situated in the center of complete devastation and I recognize that I need to enlist the help of others to help our community. We have lost our home and our business income, making it difficult to cover operational costs to keep the clinic doors open for those in need, and support my family. The money from this Gofundme account will go towards rebuilding my family’s life and keeping Malibu Veterinary Clinic open for our community — including treating charity cases as resources permit, if that is needed during this difficult time. In the meantime I will be going in to the area on a daily basis to help where I can.
It is humbling to experience an outpour of encouragement, prayers & support. We know we will make it through this together. We have the complete peace that God gives and look forward to a bright future. Thank you all, for your humanity and love.
