Help ASP Fight Sex Trafficking
SWAT Ministries is an incredible organization that trains many people in their own group as well as other groups on how to rescue kids in 7 countries from sex slavery. They go into villages and train kids in self-defense so that they can resist being taken. They rescue kids. They reunite them with their families.
Earlier this year, Jon and Brian at SWAT Ministries asked how much I would have to make to come to Chaing Rai, Thailand and help them by training their trainers to better teach their workers how to protect themselves with their empty hands as they did this moral and spiritual good.
It's simple, folks...Jesus would never let me sleep if I charged them a penny. I said so, and they offered to purchase tickets for me and a camera person to come train them.
But then I got to praying and thinking. What if we, instead of having this wonderful ministry pay for me coming, asked the incredible community of Active Self Protection to bless them by defraying the expense of the trip AND bringing them a blessing of money, attention to this worthy cause, and encouragement?
So...I committed to coming. I am bringing my wonderful wife Laura to run the camera so we can bring attention and do a ton of video while we're there...so everyone who follows us can learn too. I am also bringing Candace Stump, a friend who is a legit BJJ warrior with dozens of gold medals to train them too, and to help the women who won't train with a man.
So I need your help.
We bought the cheapest tickets to Bangkok we could find. They're about $850 each, so three of them brings us to $2550. We're anticipating another $1500 total in transportation, food, incidentals, etc. So that's basically $4000. And I want to give them $6000 on TOP of that to help fundraise for the orphanage they want to build to help kids even more, every day.
So please, help us! Since this is to a nonprofit, your donation is 100% tax deductible. SWAT will provide for our tickets and modest, necessary expenses and then keep 100% of the rest. I will not make anything, and that's cool by me because this is a ministry trip.
