Norbert Toledo's Funeral & Memorial

Donation protected
Norbert Toledo was a funny, carefree, free spirited young man. Unfortunately, February 2nd 2016 he had a stroke that left him paralyzed, unable to speak and incapacitated. We didn't expect for him to survive but the fighter that he is, he beat the odds. He fought hard to stay here. Last week he was finally successfully weaned off the ventilator and able to breathe on his own. I was so excited because I thought he was on his way to recovery. He knew who I was and was always excited to see me and the family. His eyes would light up and when we spoke he would answer me with his eyes. My mom and I went to see him on Sunday and saw that he was struggling to breathe. I asked the nurse to move him which they did and put him on oxygen. His oxygen levels went up and he seemed better when we left. He kissed me as he knew how on my cheak. Never did I imagine it would be the last time I would see him awake. I knew this day would come but didn't expect it now- yesterday. Since he was a fighter I thought he would over come and I would again see him next weekend. I always said when God wants to take him he will. I guess it was his time and I didn't get the memo. If if you knew Norbert, you know that he liked to talk. He loved to tell stories. He was a truly good person and sometimes just misunderstood. He didn't have any life insurance and it was too late to get any once he had his stroke. Any dontation would help our family give him a proper service. Thank you in advance. The Toledo & Solis Family
