Lemonade Stand for Foster Elementary

$4,165 of $5,500 goal

Raised by 45 people in 5 months
So many at our school were affected by Harvey here in Kingwood. One such teacher was my daughters first grade teacher. After a very successful lemonade stand on Saturday, September 2nd. I have decided to take it one step further and open this up to a virtual LEMONADE stand! No, you will not get our wonderful treats and delicious lemonade. But you will be helping us pay it forward to our teachers that have lost so much and still plan to be a part of our kids lives. We will be donating all money to staff that have been affected, by purchasing gift cards to give directly to them. As much as we get is just a blessing to pass to our wonderful Bulldog teachers and staff. No donation is to small!!

Hello all,
I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday. I know it’s been crazy around here. I wanted to share an update that I am just so super excited about. About a month in half ago I contacted a local radio station after hearing one of the on air DJs highlighting some children in another state raising funds for Harvey victims. I had this lightbulb go off and when I returned home, I sent off an email. Well, I received a wonderful response and now we have a blog posting on 104 KRBE!! I wish I could give each and everyone one of you all a hug and tell you how grateful I am for helping us pay it forward to our Foster Elementary Staff. Just know that the Foster Staff has expressed so much appreciation to all of our Lemonade Stand Friends and our children have been super excited to see how much they have been able to help their school. I never could have imagined that our Lemonade Stand would have come this far, we will continue to give out gift cards as long as people continue to donate.

Thank you,
Mollie S.

So.....

I woke up to THE COOLEST NEWS this morning!!!!

Well...we were notified that they were awarded a $1000 donation from the GoFundMe Team as a part of #GivingTuesday and in honor of Kid Heroes!!!!!!!

So, with that, we've decided to open up our page, and see if we can raise even MORE money!!! We would LOVE to surprise our teachers at #FosterElementary whose homes flooded as a result of #HurricaneHarvey with a nice
Iittle Christmas bonus to ease any financial strain they are experiencing and allow them to have a very Merry Christmas this year.

We would LOVE it if you would Like, Share or Donate to this page so we can continue to bless those who need it most! ❤️❤️❤️

I wanted to share a “thank you note” I received from one of our very deserving Foster Staff members
Dear Lemonade Stand Friends,
Thank you all so much for your very thoughtful and generous gift. My family and I appreciate your hard work and giving spirit. Your gift will help us recover some of our items that we lost due to Harvey. You all are awesome!

I just wanted to let you all know, this has been such an amazing journey. The devastation that was caused by Harvey will take years of hard work to repair and somethings will never be the same. But knowing so many are willing to help, is just overwhelming.
From all of us, to all of you THANK YOU
Mollie S.

I just wanted to give an update, FINALLY! We haven’t forgotten about you all and your generous donations. This evening we are writing out our cards and getting things ready to hand out $250 gift cards to 9 staff members from our wonderful school Foster Elementary. This all started with a few moms and their kids trying to turn lemons into lemonade for our teacher. And your generous support has meant that we can do so much more. We haven’t made our goal of $3000 and we will go ahead and leave this campaign open, and if we get more donations we will continue to spread it amongst our staff. It’s been a few months and life has gotten back to normal...well a newish normal but, there is still so much that needs to be done. And so many that still need our support. I would greatly appreciate you sharing our page, as the holidays are around the corner, I think it would be AWESOME if we could do another round right before Christmas break!! Those maybe big dreams but, as I plan for my children’s holidays I can’t stop and think about all these families in our community. Their holidays might not look the same this year and if we could just spread the joy of the season...well let me tell you...there would be lots of tears! Thank you all, without you we would not have been able to do this and I am forever grateful.
With deepest appreciation,
Mollie S.
