From Sergeant Glenn Sharp:

You have no idea how much I appreciate this, even though my insurance has not sent me anything, I’m able to buy much needed materials with what you have collected.

Dear Nassau Bay Residents,

For years I have enjoyed working for the Nassau Bay citizens and getting to know so many that make me want to be a better employee and person. Your generosity in starting and contributing to a Gofundme account for those of us impacted by Harvey while you all have suffered from Harvey is more than generous and has humbled me. What a blessing to work for people that appreciate employees and continuously show their appreciation and compassion.

I can’t speak for all the employees impacted by the flooding, but because of your generosity I will be able to replace drywall, baseboards, and flooring. And even more importantly, I am so grateful to work here, live in Texas, and feel blessed to know my children and I are not alone. They too are grateful for you all and because of you all feel they are a part of this special place, Nassau Bay.

Thank you for donating and thinking of us during your own time of need. It is a pleasure working for you all and I hope to do so for many more years.

Sincerely,

Kathy George

Hello donors!

Thank you, again, for your generous contributions. Late last week, I received a list of the needs of each employee that was affected by Harvey. Today, I have contacted each affected employee to let them know how much we appreciate them, as well as the amount of the check I will be disbursing to them.

I had hoped to be able to link each recipient's account to the fund, in order for you to see exactly where the funds are going. Unfortunately, GoFundMe will only allow one recipient to be named. Because of this, through advice of the City, I will receive the funds and cut checks to the employees.

I have initiated a transfer of funds to my account, that show to be available no later than October 3rd. In order to keep everything above board, I will take the checks to city hall for employees to pick up. The city and I will maintain records of the checks, in order to ensure transparency of the funds.

When I spoke to each employee today, they were overwhelmed by your generosity. I will post thank you messages soon.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask!

As of now, we have enough to give $1000 for home flooding and $500 for flooded cars. We are still receiving funds, and these will be distributed according to need and I will update you on each disbursement.

Thank you again for your generosity,

Stacey Amdur
