First I want to start off with a hello all and thank you for viewing my daughters page.
My daughter Alyziah (9 years old) had a tragic accident on March 31st, 2013. She was playing in her room and had an accidental strangulation off of her bunk bed. She suffers a anoxic brain injury due to lack of oxygen. She was life flighted to a Children's Hospital where they were able to save her life. She was on a ventilator in a coma for 12 days. She is now very medically complex and needs a lot of medical care. There are some things that she needs and I need as well to help transport her safely to and from her doctor appointments, therapies, school, and to just get her out to be able to enjoy the best possible life. I also want to try hyperbaric oxygen therapy with her in hopes we can get some more cognitive functions back. She can not speak or walk. She can not sit on her own or hold her head up. She has a trach because she lost the ability to swallow and has a feeding tube. She has lost a lot of her vision as well, she can only see lights and objects up close. I am hoping with the hyperbaric oxygen we can get something back. Anything, even the slightest smile...would make me a very happy mama.
I am asking for donations to help with:
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Wheel chair tie downs for the bus ride to school
A handicapped stroller for when I have no assistance in transporting her, I can take the stroller instead of her 80lb wheel chair that does not fold
A handicapped car seat, she is too big for the ones at the department stores
A handicapped swing in the back yard for her enjoyment as she don't get to really enjoy much
