Michael Shikany Knife Of Excellence

In loving memory of Chef Michael Shikany, a scholarship will be presented to a culinary student, to help with the expenses of books and materials. The funds for the scholarship will come from donations from people like you, willing to support a student's dream of becoming a great chef. Michael was dedicated to help young and upcoming chefs and we feel this is the best way to honor his life and legacy.
The scholarship will be presented during this year's Iron Fork by our friends at Miami New Times. Thanks to our friends at Johnson & Wales we will have two students cooking one round for the right to win 'The Michael Shikany Knife of Excellence Award' and the scholarship. In honor of a talented chef taken from all of us way too soon, New Times wanted to do something in his name. This is a tradition we hope to keep for many years to come and to grow it as we move forward.
