Me llamo Gabriela y tengo 15 años. Vivo en Nueva Jersey y mi familia es de Cali y Bogotá (Colombia).
Mi familia y yo estamos tratando de recolectar dinero para que mi madrina y su hermana puedan viajar a Colombia esta Navidad y visitar a su mamá enferma. Un viaje en avión de Nueva York a Bogotá vale casi $1.500, y no nos alcanza para dos viajes de ida y vuelta. Si alcanzamos esta meta de $6.000 antes de Diciembre, mi madrina y su hermana podrán visitar a su mamá y el resto de su familia.
Mi madrina es muy trabajadora y cariñosa, pero hace tres años que ella y su hermana no ven a su familia en Colombia. Les queremos dar este viaje como regalo de Navidad. Sería algo muy especial para ellas, especialmente en estos tiempos ya que su mamá está muy enferma.

My name is Gabriela and I am 15 years old. I live in New Jersey and my family is from Cali and Bogotá (in Colombia).
We as a family are trying to collect money for my godmother and her sister so they can visit their sick mother in Colombia this Christmas. The cost of a plane ticket from NYC to Bogotá is about $1,500, and we cannot afford to pay two round trips. If we reach our $6,000 goal before December, my godmother and her sister will be able to visit their mother and the rest of their family.
My godmother is very hardworking and kind, but it’s been three years since my she and her sister visited their family in Colombia. We’d like to give them this trip to Bogotá as a Christmas present. The trip would mean everything to them, especially in these times since their mother is very sick.
