BELOW ARE FACEBOOK POSTS MADE BY CHELSEA FAULK ABOUT HER SON, DRE. HE AND THE FAMILY ARE GOING THROUGH HARD TIMES WITH HIS RECENTLY DIAGNOSED BRAIN ANEURYSM

Sept 3
- We were transferred to Baton Rouge and found out that this is a rare aneurism that most general neurosurgeons won't touch so the neurosurgeon team here will be meeting to decide which University Hospital he will be transferred to. We are going to get the best doctors in the country for his surgery. Thanks for all of the prayers and please continue to pray! - Chelsea Faulk

Sept 4 - He will go to surgery at 11 to
Insert a shunt from his brain to his abdominal cavity in order to release the fluid build up in his brain that the Vein of Galan aneurism is causing. This will only relieve his headaches and will not treat the aneurism. The doctors here are still searching for a specialist who has seen or is willing to deal with the risky surgery and treatment of the aneurism. So far, the doctor here does not know of anyone who has treated this aneurism with success. It has an extremely high mortality rate. Please pray for someone to heal my baby! - Chelsea Faulk

Sept 5 - Found a few doctors in New York and Boston who might be qualified to do the procedure that we are hoping for. Praying that we pick the best and most experienced with these cases so that my boy can be healed. Also praying for a quick recovery from his surgery yesterday. I'm so thankful to
all who have been praying and concerned. It means a lot to us. - Chelsea Faulk

Sept 11 - We are being transferred to Texas Children's Hospital in Houston today. There is a guy there who studied under the doctor in New York. Prayers for healing, strength, and a safe trip please! - Chelsea Faulk

WE APPERICATE YOUR SUPPORT IN ANY FORM!
GOD BLESS.

The cat scan showed a little fluid but the doctor said it looked normal but because the shunt was causing his brain to have a lot less pressure than normal, cutting the shunt off completely was too sudden of a change so he unclamped his shunt to 0 to let it drain some and he wants to slowly wean him off of the extremely low pressure the shunt was causing him to have. He wants to be able to take the shunt out because his condition is treated. So thats why he is weaning him slowly. 24-48 hours with it unclamped to this pressure then he will adjust it a little more and a little more each day until he is at the point of pressure where he has no headaches or vomiting. So we are looking at maybe another week before the shunt can be removed. It just depends on how fast he weans himself off of the shunt, if he can at all. If he can't, he will put a different kind of shunt. Prayers that he weans off fast and we can get the shunt out, stop the vomiting and go home.

Dre' had a great day yesterday but has been vomiting, having headaches and not wanting to sit up today. He will have a cat scan at midnight to see what is going on. I pray that he starts feeling better soon. He is such a strong little boy. I am amazed by his strength everyday and he inspires me to be strong and not give up faith.

Thank you to all of you who have supported us and been with us the whole way through this journey. We just received AWESOME news that the embolization worked COMPLETELY and blocked the aneurysm. So he is now CURED and HEALED!! There are always risks that it could come back but I believe that God has done this and He will see it through! My baby will live a normal and healthy life. We still have two more surgeries to go, one to clamp the shunt to see if he needs it and the second to
Remove it if he doesn't but we are so thankful and beyond ecstatic to be out of the lethal
Grips of this condition. THANK GOD!!

Dre' has been recovering well after his embolization procedure yesterday morning. They have taken him out of PICU and put us back on the neuro floor. We are waiting to talk to his neurosurgeon Monday to see if he will do a shunt revision to try and stop his daily vomiting. He is still on fluids but he seems as if he has no damage from the procedure. Thank God for all of you who are supporting us and praying us through this. God is great! We will know if the procedure has helped to starve off some of the Vein of Galen aneurysm after they take another scan sometime next week. Please continue to pray and thank you all for the prayers and concerns.

Dre' is my grandson, the light of my life!! To see him to go from being a silly, rowdy, loving 4 year old to a sick, weak and quiet little boy tears my heart up. But, I know God has his arms wrapped around him and will guide us through this difficult time. The prayers and uplifting messages from family and friends have kept us strong. My daughter has not left his side. He is her Life and she is a wonderful mom. If you asked dre' who his hero is it would be his mom!! We appreciate krissy and her mom for Doing this. Please pray for our Dre'!!
