Helping Our Beloved Friend Edna

Edna is a fun, loving, charismatic, Christian woman who lights up a room when she walks in. Her smile is contagious and you immediately feel the love upon her greeting you. Edna has been through a very rough year. As a single mom of three, she moved to Tulare to try to restart a new life for her family. Recently, she has had several unfortunate events that have left her and her kids homeless. She was very fortunate to have a car donated to her from a fellow church member. She has been living out of her vehicle with her kids for several months now. Last night, a drunk driver slammed into them and left the car inoperable. What was temporary shelter for them, is no longer an option. As a community of people that know and love her, let's get together and show her the same kind of love she has always shown us. If we team up, even a $5 donation can go a long ways. Let's help her get into a house so that her kids can have a home. It breaks my heart knowing she's going through this. She has exhausted searching all avenues of government aid and section 8 has a several years wait list. Vouchers are only good for a few days. Shelters will not accept her because of her teenage boys. If there is anything else anyone can do to help her out, please reach out. She just started a new job, but it's not enough to get on her feet right away. Let's all pitch in and help her out.
