Kola Culinary Institute

@chefchauncy When it comes to Liberian cuisine, though delicious , it has always been simple in presentation as well as ingredients. This may be the key to a familiar and enjoyable meal, but we still haven’t found a way to make it healthier.  African food does not get the respect that it should. Either we eat a lot of meat, or use a lot of oil, or we use a lot of processed ingredients, to name a few. As a little boy, I thought this is the way we were meant to eat. As an adult, I realized all the ingredients in our meals are probably shipped in from other countries.  I told myself that one day I would find a way to come back home and change that.  I wanted to create a menu using our own natural resources to create healthier options. Putting our food out there to compete with other cuisines would be a dream that may come true. I left my country as a little boy over 22 years ago.  I am going back home again to see if I have what it takes to open this school and I cannot do it without your help. My goal is to raise $200,000. I have purchased 100 acres of land to start building this school. I am open and willing to work with any investors out there or anyone interested in what I’m doing. A Website will be available at the end of April for more details. Let’s make this happen together you don’t have to be from Africa to help.
