Sophie Needs Help Getting To Boston

Sophie is the strongest lil girl you will ever meet. In 2015 her world changed when she was diagnosed with a sub-arachnoid cyst and two brain aneurysms. She survived 8 brain surgeries between Oct. 2015 to Dec. 2015. One of these surgeries was to try and fix her aneurysms after she had a bleed and coded on Oct. 31st 2015. She survived the 14 hour surgery when no doctor thought she would but she suffered stroke and brain stem damage. She has defied all medical science and continues to work hard every day to gain back all she has lost. In Dec. of 2016 our world was rocked again when they discovered Sophie has a very rare disease called MoyaMoya. If left untreated, the main blood vessels that supply her brain with blood will tighten and cause stroke damage or worse, death. Several days ago Sophie was taken to the hospital because she went unresponsive for about 15 minutes. The surgeons feel this episode was due to a lack of blood flow in her brain caused by the MoyaMoya. It is now time she goes in for her 9th brain surgery in 2 years. Here is where she (and our family) needs your help. The surgeons at Boston Children's Hospital have agreed to take on Sophie's case and try and perform surgery to help her MoyaMoya. Our family has suffered financially since 2015 when her mom needed to quit her job and take care of Sophie 24/7. The family has lost both of their vehicles and will soon lose the only home Sophie (and her older sister) have ever known. The family needs financial help to get Sophie to Boston and be able to stay there for most likely several weeks. Any amount helps and Sophie and her family are beyond grateful for any assistance.
