I'm trying to raise money so that I can get my facial hair removed through electrolysis.
Having had a consultation for the process I was told that I would need between 50 and 70 treatments at £100 an hour. The NHS have capped thier support for facial hair removal at just 8 treatments, this despite being aware of the psychological benefits such a process can bring to transgender women.
Having facial hair still is a major barrier for me to living the normal life I crave. I am reluctant to leave the house and when I do I often walk with my head down looking at my phone so as to hide my face.
I want to walk with my head held high.
