48 Beer Project Plan B

The 48 Beer Project  is a cultural exploration of the craft beer industry and the community it serves.

Last summer, I converted a short bus (named Fearless ) to serve as my home and art studio, that I have taken to the open road, to partner with one brewery in each of the lower 48 states on one of a kind  beer label artwork, while documenting the experience through photo and blogging, and a collection of videos, for future exhibition.

The project  is scheduled for one year, and to date I have driven over 10k miles through 25 states, collaborated with 24 breweries, one per week since September 2018. The journey has been epic thus far!

Unfortunately, I have been dealing with a major coolant leak for some time, and finally had it diagnosed here in Arizona. Turns out Fearless the bus has a cracked engine block, and can drive no more! Thankfully she can live at family's property, and act as my home base for the duration of the project.

We are only half way to the finish line though! With 23 states to go and just under 6 more months...I am going to need to find a replacement vehicle that I can sleep in and rely on for many more miles of travel and brewery engagement! I need to secure the funding asap, as I have a schedule to keep to stay on track for my September 8th return to Maine !

I have had amazing support from sponsors and friends and total strangers, and I am grateful beyond words! This project is far more than art, beer, or the road life. The 48 Beer Project  is weaving together relationships and stories and highlighting all the positive things that craft beer has done for communities. 

Your support will contribute to sharing all this with the world. With a trustworthy vehicle, we will be able to continue the journey and at the close of the tour, host an exhibition for all to join in the experience.
