Become A Hope Hero!!

Who would have believed that Omaha, Nebraska, could ever be considered, "Armed & Dangerous!" 20 years ago my North Omaha Neighborhood was nicknamed Death Valley, because of the high crime rate, prostitution, gang activities, loitering, and murder. 1997, a young man was shot to death by a drive by, in my front yard. My entire community was petrified!! I prayed & asked God what can I do to help my community. I was reminded of my childhood memories of how our neighbors, lived, worked, & played together at Block Parties! It still works!! 20 years later we are no longer dubbed Death Valley, we are now known as, "Hopes Alley!" We are the recipients of the Jefferson Award,the Key to the city of Omaha, the Dorothy Richardson Award, 4 city block named Apostle Vanessa Ward Streets & many more Awards. We have demonstrated a little courage can go along way to bring hope. Because of you honoring the 3 rules; No Drugs, No Alcohol, No Violence & because of you giving your best financial support & you rolling up your sleeves, we all have become "Hope Heroes!"
