46th St & Vincennes Block Club
Donation protected
The mission of the East 46th Street and Vincennes Block Club is to use education, communication and cooperation to preserve the quality of life for the residents by combating crime, improving properties, growing community garden and providing a social anchor for neighborhood activities and involvement.
Funds will be used to complete the open air auditorium, enhancing the Dorothy A. McGhee Monarch Butterfly Habitat as well as several more garden beds. We have some funds through yard sales, concessions and block party, however, we've barely have made a dent into our goal.
Funds are needed now to ensure the community has access to the public space during the great weather and while we're able to work in the garden space. These funds will be used to support the community at large with public green space, students learning horticulture as well as to ensure the use of the open air auditorium for music, poetry and other performance driven activities.
