Heidi's Recovery

Donation protected
On Friday, June 30th 2017, my beloved Chihuahua, Heidi, escaped from her caretaker while I was on vacation. She was frightened by a thunderstorm and ran as fast as she could. I hurried home to help look for her, we had many kind friends and neighbors looking for her as well. On Monday, July 3rd, we received a call from Tuffs Animal Hospital saying a dog was brought in matching the description of my lost dog ad. I went to the hospital to determine if she was mine, and it was my Heidi. She has no broken bones, but has moderate to severe head trauma. The doctors say there is hope she will recover, she shows signs of cognitive function, such as whimpering when hearing my voice, and involuntary leg movement. Her recovery will require her to be held in the hospital until she can walk again. Over night stays at the hospital are pricey, we are looking for the same kindness we received when looking for her to also help fund her recovery. I greatly appreciate every little bit you can give. Thank you.
