432 Chamber Orchestra

Our project represents freedom and choice. We aim to present the option to listen to classical music in 432 Hz, which is as of yet not available except under manipulation of recordings in standard 440-442 tuning. The 432 Chamber Orchestra is an ensemble to be recognized as a realization in sound of the ideas and choices of a continuously growing group of people who have realized that the sounding reality around them matters. But this is about much more than a project about the 432 Hz music lovers.
We are here to show the world that the 432 Hz ideas and views towards the sounding reality around us are not just a casual mainstream penchant but a result of an inner realization and recognition of which we support and believe in. We are here to give voice to music in a different sounding paradigm. We are here to answer the appeal for change.
We do not aim to make a music revolution, everything in this project is about choice "“ we are musicians and we are here  to play music. But we play in 423 Hz.



The project is also about finding open-minded people who have the will and the zest to support our project financially. Every idea that comes into our world has to be vested in its proper liveliness "“ this one makes no exception. For this project to happen we require funding "“ and this is why we are using a donation and fund raising platform. Support 432 Hz music, support us and support your choice as an audience.





Why A = 432 Hz?


The answer is simple - when this vibration is set as the basic frequency from which all other notes are derived, any music that is played takes the innate qualities of the 432 Hz vibration - its "Ethos". In my view and musicologists as Maria Renold(Gemany) and Antoaneta Tsokova(Bulgaria) who are becoming more and more interested and supportive of this movement, there is no other sounding vibration that opens ones heart so gently and softly and facilitates the true music essence of the pieces that are played to appear in sounding form to the performers and the listeners.

The Beginning
On 11^th November 2013 we gathered for the first rehearsal of the 432 Chamber Orchestra. Only a handful of musicians showed up but on the next one we were twice that number who themselves were astounded and became supporters of the idea and concept, all of which are exceptional musicians. We ended up with this configuration "“ 3 first violins, 2 second violins, 1 viola, 1 violoncello and 1 double bass. We made our first 432 Hz promotional recordings on the 25^th November 2013 of Vivaldi's Concerto in G "Alla rustica" RV 151 and Edward Elgar's "Elegy" for strings, Op. 58.

Current State

The funding. What is it required for?

We have done some promotional records yet. Now it is time to make a new step "“ we are preparing a debut CD album and a live concert. We have to hire a hall for rehearsals, a sound recording studio, a concert hall, make some promotional posters for the concert and other advertisement expenses, print the CDs, and other expenses that are related to the rehearsing, recording and concert activities.
More to that, all of the participants in the orchestra are professional instrumentalists and they spend their free time rehearsing with the 432 Chamber Orchestra. This was great time but will not be applicable for such a serious enterprise as a debut audio CD and a live concert.

Why is the "free time" rehearsal not working anymore?

The new temperament that we apply "“ the "opened fifths" "“ is new to the players so they have to master the fingering anew. This is very hard to happen effectively when they have to spend 3 or more hours daily playing in another orchestra (that in most of the cases happens to be the orchestra that they are receiving their monthly salary from) where conventional temperament is applied. They have to be focused on mastering the new temperament if we want to have good results in the end.
Other setback of the "free time" rehearsals is that not all of the instrumentalists are free at the same time "“ on some rehearsals there were 3 people out of 8 rehearsing due to their professional engagements. So in other words "free time " rehearsals worked great for us in the beginning "“ we made wonderful promotional recordings "“ but regarding our goals, a debut audio CD and a live concert, this method is not an option any more.
So, we require funding that will cover a decent monthly wage for the musicians involved too.




The end deal

When we calculated roughly the amount of funding that we require to continue with the project we came with a number around € 40000. At first we wondered how would we be able to gather that much money but then we found a decision.

We need to find 800 people that are willing to contribute to this project an amount of € 50 each.
Now we are talking in real terms. 800 people around the world who are willing to donate a one-time donation of € 50.
We need your support so we can continue to do what we are good at "“ playing. We believe that we and you together can do it. We are sure that there are 800 people out there who are ready and willing to join our cause - the spreading of the 432 Hz music around the world. We believe that the best source of the funding of music is the people whom this music is intended to reach. We do not want to become slaves to the musical business and become product of some corporations, labels or anybody that is interested only in the "revenue" and "income". We are looking for living people who recognize the 432 Hz music as a major phenomenon that can change the sounding reality around us. And that is why we chose crowd funding as the main source of funding for the project on the first place "“ to get you involved in the project as a major participant.

For his contribution every one of the 800 people that support us with € 50 will receive a copy of the debut 432 Hz album after we finish it.

If somebody would like to contribute but cannot afford the €50 there is no minimal amount. You may donate as much as you can afford - it is not about the money after all, it is about joining the cause. We will send those people a CD too, maybe not immediately after we release it, but eventually everyone who supports the orchestra will receive a token of gratitude from the 432 Chamber Orchestra.

Just for the sake of mentioning it - we are always opened to donations over the 50 Euro too.
